Our mini dresses

We had a very small group 3 came only 2 made the dresses Yvonne wasn't up to it . it's been very hot and muggy so she sat out. We made  these from a tut in  American Miniaturist mag April 2012 .
Very easy and fun. the first was I made was a trial run then I remade one smaller in red check. Cheryl P liked making it too.
She thought it would be hard...easy peasy!!

On May 22, 2013 Some of us in our group met for an "over night miniature camp meeting." In Delevan, NY. called Duffield Camp and Retreat Center.
  Yvonne always wanted to try something like this and it finally came together, it's  about and an hour drive from where I live. We were all from different parts of the state as well as Canada. We met 3 new friends to come join the four of us from our group. We had 3 workshops. A popsicle stick Adirondack chair  as shown, taught by Cheryl P. and  I taught the upholster chair class from a tutorial by Kris Compass (http://1inchminisbykris.blogspot.com/) but this project was incomplete. I will post the one I finished, they each had the basic structure done but we stopped for the night to just sit, talk and get to know each other more and to make plans for a bigger meeting next year! We also had a "show and tell" table set up for each of us to bring some mini items they we made. It was so much fun to see the minis each one different..we had prizes, favors and gifts given to different people.
We had a nice spaghetti dinner together, snacks and lots of laughter!  In the morning they made a tiny tea cup flower arrangement. I didn't stay for this I had to leave early but here's a sample-posted of the cups premade by Yvonne.  So I hope we can get busy and post more minis as a  group so many times we each do our own thing and not all are finished before we have to leave. It's been awhlie..

Hello, sorry I have not posted anything new . We have made some minis but sometimes it's not finished or we have all brought a differnt project to work on and did something different but it's still unfinished. OrI forgot to take a picture and then we forget to bring our projects back for an update. So right now with the winter weather we have not been meeting as usual. I hope to get some new pics up  sometime soon!!

What we made at group

I am sorry for not posting regularly. We have been making small stuff and I forget to take pictures or if a project is not complete nobody wants their taken..so our newset friend Hannah made 2 chair and a stool I made the chair on the far right out of wine/champaing ca or wire cages. This was a challange to do making the wire nice and straight to form a back for the chair.

I have not posted in a while!

We only did some small projects lately or worked on whatever we had to do and I didn't take pictures. Here is what we did last as a group. Cheryl P. showed us how to make these minitures from tiny hats
took some hats, cut off the top to make a flower basket, the brim became a wreath and then the hat itself for a door decoration.
